When it comes to chic and stylish venues in Marbella, we are somewhat spoilt for choice. After all, Marbella is well known for its gastronomic scene, one of the reasons it attracts such a cosmopolitan crowd.

We recently had the pleasure of hosting our inaugural Guild of Spanish Property Professionals event at Breathe.

Breathe is just a short walk from the famous Puerto Banus marina, occupying a prominent location in Nueva Andalucia.

There is a sumptuous, modern elegance to Breathe and for a moment you would almost think you were in a luxury villa, it is warm, inviting and beautifully furnished throughout. It is certain from the moment you enter that you are being welcomed into a super high-quality establishment.

The lighting is subdued with intimate corners throughout and whilst this is a large venue capable of hosting events, it remains comfortable.

Upon arrival we were graciously welcomed by one of the team members and escorted to our VIP area, drinks were plentiful and the service was attentive yet not intrusive.

The menu is both varied and interesting, drawing from several world cultures and cuisines and for sure there would be something to tantalize everyone’s taste buds.

Our table was presented with an array of starters so we could all share and enjoy. These included a truly delicious beef carpaccio with rocket and parmesan, sweet potato hummus, fresh guacamole with spiced yuca chips and a Puglia burrata salad. All dishes were delicious and well presented.

We all chose varied main courses including Char Siu Iberian Presa, spicy seabass and chicken Panang curry. The portions are generous but not excessive and it would be more than fair to say that were absolutely no complaints at all. One thing that has to be mentioned is that the seasoned fries were truly amazing, perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. It has to be said that our table could have easily demolished another few portions of the fries!

Desserts are not forgotten here, with the menu being equally as innovative. The two top choices on our table were the chocolate fondant, served with vanilla ice cream, a red berry coulis, and pistachio nuts and the fresh mango, which was served with vegan cream, organic mango pieces, and a raspberry coulis. Both desserts were well enjoyed by our guests.

Breathe is a high-quality establishment that clearly prides itself in all aspects of hospitality, there are no smoke and mirrors here. We hope you enjoy it as much as we all did.
